A private chauffeur from your Abu Dhabi hotel, home or office to DXB — planned backwards from your departure time, with tolls included in a fixed quote.

Plenty of travellers staying in Abu Dhabi fly out of Dubai International: a particular airline or route, a better connection, or a group itinerary that began in Dubai. Our Abu Dhabi to Dubai Airport transfer is planned backwards from your departure. We take your flight number, the terminal and your airline’s recommended check-in time, add a realistic allowance for the drive and a sensible buffer, and suggest a pick-up time when we send your quote.
The drive from central Abu Dhabi to DXB is around an hour and a half in normal traffic. Weekday rush hours into Dubai, Friday afternoons and the busy holiday periods can all add time, and we plan for that rather than hope for the best.
Dubai International has three passenger terminals. Terminal 3 is the Emirates terminal; Terminals 1 and 2 serve other airlines. Your ticket or airline app shows which one you need — share it when you book and your chauffeur heads straight for the right departures kerb, then helps with the bags onto a trolley before you go in.
If several guests are flying from different terminals, tell us and we plan the drop-offs in the most sensible order.
If you have checked in online and are travelling light, you can leave a little later; with a family’s worth of bags, or on Ramadan travel days and at the start of school holidays, leave earlier. We flag the busy dates when we quote.
There are two sensible roads. The coastal E11 passes Ghantoot and continues as Sheikh Zayed Road through the heart of Dubai; the inland E311 bypasses much of the city traffic and is often the better line to the airport. Your chauffeur decides on the day based on live traffic.
Since May 2026 the Darb gate at Ghantoot on the E11 charges 24 hours a day, and Dubai’s Salik gates apply on several roads towards the airport. Both are included in your fixed quote; our Darb guide explains how the two systems differ.
We collect from anywhere in the emirate. Typical starting points and approximate drive times to DXB in normal traffic:
Many long-haul flights leave Dubai late at night or before dawn. We cover pick-ups at any hour, and the roads are usually clear then, but we still keep the buffer — airport queues at night can be just as long as in the day.
If your flight leaves in the evening, the transfer can also be part of the day. Some travellers stop for lunch or a final meeting in Dubai Marina or DIFC on the way, with the luggage locked in the vehicle; others call at a hotel to collect a colleague. Add the stops to the booking notes and we quote the extra time upfront, so the drop-off at the departures kerb still happens at the planned time.
Departures often involve more luggage than arrivals. The luxury sedan takes three medium suitcases, the SUV five and the V-Class six. A Sprinter carries up to sixteen guests with around twelve cases, and for tour groups heading home we run coaches with full luggage holds.
Mention pushchairs, golf bags, sports equipment or shopping in the notes so we can confirm the vehicle has room for everything before the day.
Dubai World Central, also called Al Maktoum International, lies south of Dubai and closer to the Abu Dhabi border — usually around an hour from Yas Island or Khalifa City. We plan it in exactly the same way; see our intercity transfers. For flights from Abu Dhabi itself, read our Zayed International guide, and when you are ready, book online for a fixed price. Changes are free up to 24 hours before pick-up.

It depends on your departure time, terminal and airline. We take your airline’s recommended check-in time, add around an hour and a half for the drive from central Abu Dhabi plus a buffer for the traffic at that hour, and suggest a pick-up time when we send your written quote.
Yes. We collect from any address in Abu Dhabi. From Yas Island the drive to DXB is around an hour and a quarter in normal traffic, and from Saadiyat a little longer. Your quote shows the agreed pick-up time and the fixed price, including the tolls on the way.
Yes. Dubai World Central is closer to Abu Dhabi than DXB — usually around an hour from Yas Island or Khalifa City. We plan the pick-up time the same way, working back from your flight and check-in time, and the price is fixed in writing before you confirm.
Your chauffeur follows live traffic and can switch between the coastal E11 and the inland E311 to find the quicker road. Because we build a buffer into the pick-up time, ordinary delays are absorbed. On known busy days, such as the start of school holidays, we suggest an earlier departure when we quote.
Yes. Book the return as a separate transfer from Dubai International to your Abu Dhabi address. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board, and the price is fixed in writing exactly like the outward journey.
Yes. For groups heading home together we run 35- and 50-seat coaches with full luggage holds, or several Sprinters if guests are flying from different terminals. Share the flight list and we plan the departures so everyone reaches check-in comfortably and together.
