Questions, answered.
Answers to the questions guests and planners ask most about chauffeur and coach hire in Abu Dhabi.
Booking basics
How do I book a chauffeur in Abu Dhabi?
Use our booking page — three steps, about a minute. Your fixed quote arrives by email; reply to confirm.
What does the quote include?
The vehicle, chauffeur, fuel, Darb toll gates and airport parking, plus the waiting time shown on the quote. Extra hours are listed upfront at a fixed rate.
Do you meet guests inside Zayed International Airport?
Yes. Your chauffeur waits in arrivals with a name board and tracks your flight, so early or late landings are no problem.
Can you take us to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque?
Yes — as a transfer or part of a private tour. Visitors now need an entry ticket booked online in advance (worshippers and the free guided cultural tours excepted), and modest dress is required.
Do you drive to Dubai and Al Ain?
Every day. Dubai is around 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes away; Al Ain about 1 hour 30 minutes.
Can we book female chauffeurs or hostesses?
For ladies’ receptions and family occasions we can arrange female chauffeurs or hostesses on request, subject to availability.
How far ahead should I book?
For cars, 24 hours is usually enough. For coaches, weddings and ADNEC events, two weeks or more in the October–April season.
Can I change my booking?
Changes are free up to 24 hours before pick-up. Cancellation terms are written on your quote before you confirm.
Zayed International Airport
Do you cover late-night and early-morning arrivals?
Yes. Long-haul flights land at Zayed International around the clock, and our airport transfers follow your flight whatever the hour. Book with your flight number and the chauffeur will be in the arrivals hall when you come through. See our pick-up guide.
Can you collect from Zayed International’s private terminal?
Yes. For private flights and honoured guests, we collect from the private terminal rather than the main arrivals hall. Share the aircraft details and handling agent, and we coordinate the vehicle’s access in advance.
Is airport parking included while the chauffeur waits?
Yes. Airport parking is included in every Zayed International transfer quote, along with the waiting time shown. You will not be asked to pay for parking on the day.
Can I book an airport transfer for a guest or colleague?
Yes. Make the booking in your name and add the traveller’s name for the board, their flight number and their mobile number in the notes. The confirmation comes to you, and the chauffeur meets your guest.
Do you offer fast-track or airside meet-and-assist?
Our chauffeurs meet guests in the public arrivals hall. Airside services such as fast-track immigration are booked through the airport or your airline; if you have arranged one, tell us so we time the pick-up accordingly.
How far is Zayed International from central Abu Dhabi?
Around 30 to 35 minutes to Al Maryah Island, Al Reem Island and the Corniche in normal traffic, 20 to 25 minutes to Saadiyat and 10 to 15 minutes to Yas Island.
Pricing & tolls
Is VAT included in the price?
Your written quote shows the total you will pay, including VAT where it applies. Nothing that appears on the quote is charged again on the day.
Why do you send a quote instead of listing prices?
Every journey is different — the distance, the hours, the vehicle, the waiting time and the tolls on the route. A written quote lets us price your exact plan and fix it, rather than showing a starting price that grows later.
Are there surcharges for night journeys or public holidays?
Anything that affects the price, including the time of day, is built into your quote before you confirm. Once confirmed, the price is fixed — nothing is added afterwards for timing.
What if our plans run longer than booked?
Extra hours are charged at the fixed rate written on your quote, so you know the cost of staying out longer before you decide.
Will the price change if fuel prices rise?
No. Fuel is included and your quote is fixed once you confirm, so a change in fuel prices between booking and travel does not affect a confirmed booking.
Do you charge for waiting at a hotel pick-up?
The waiting time included is shown on your quote. If you need more, extra waiting is charged at the rate written there, so the figure is clear in advance. Our Darb guide explains how tolls are handled.
Chauffeurs & etiquette
Do your chauffeurs wear uniform?
Yes. Chauffeurs are uniformed and presented to the standard expected for government and royal-court visits. For weddings and formal occasions, the Rolls-Royce chauffeur wears formal dress.
Which languages do your chauffeurs speak?
Our chauffeurs are bilingual, and you can request an Arabic- or English-speaking chauffeur for your booking. Mention any language preference in the notes and we will confirm what we can provide.
Will the chauffeur help with luggage and shopping?
Yes. Your chauffeur loads and unloads luggage at the airport, the hotel and every stop, and keeps shopping secure in the vehicle during hourly hire.
Is smoking allowed in your vehicles?
No. Our vehicles are non-smoking for every guest’s comfort. On long journeys, your chauffeur is happy to stop at a service station so anyone who smokes can take a break.
Are chauffeurs briefed before each journey?
Yes. Every chauffeur is briefed on the route, the timings, the lead passenger’s name and any special requests before the journey — including protocol for official visits and the running order for weddings.
Will the chauffeur respect our privacy?
Always. Chauffeurs keep conversation to a minimum unless invited, do not discuss passengers with anyone outside the booking and expect confidential calls to take place in the back.
Vehicles & capacity
How do I choose between the V-Class and the Sprinter?
What counts as a medium suitcase?
Roughly a standard checked suitcase of the size most airlines allow in economy. Larger cases, golf bags, pushchairs and boxes take more space, so list them in the notes and we will confirm the vehicle fits.
How old are your vehicles?
Our fleet is late-model and prepared before every journey — cleaned, checked and cooled. If a particular model year matters for your event, ask and we will confirm what is available.
Can I request a specific make or model?
You can. Vehicle classes are described as “or similar”, but if a particular car matters — for a wedding, a launch or a protocol visit — tell us when you enquire and we confirm in writing what we can guarantee.
Do you have wheelchair-accessible vehicles?
Tell us about any wheelchair users or mobility needs when you book. Many guests manage well with the V-Class’s wide doors and a folded chair in the back; where a ramp or lift is needed, we will tell you honestly what can be arranged.
Can we mix vehicle types in one booking?
Yes. One booking can combine a Rolls-Royce, SUVs, vans and coaches on a single quote and timetable — the usual arrangement for weddings, delegations and events.
Weddings & VIP
How far ahead should we book wedding transport?
As soon as your date and venue are fixed. In the October to April season the Rolls-Royce and larger coaches are in high demand, and early booking leaves time to plan rehearsals and access with your venue.
Do you transport guests to private estates and farms?
Yes. We drive to private estates and family farms across the emirate. Share the location pin, gate details and any access restrictions so we choose vehicles that suit the approach road.
Can we book the wedding car for photographs before the ceremony?
Yes. Book the Rolls-Royce for extra time before the ceremony and your chauffeur will position the car for your photographer at the hotel, the estate or a scenic spot on the way.
How do you handle VIP arrivals discreetly?
With a small, briefed team: one coordinator, named chauffeurs and a plan shared only with those who need it. Vehicles arrive at the agreed time and place, and nothing about the guest or the timings is discussed outside the booking. See delegation transport.
Can you arrange transport for family occasions other than weddings?
Yes — engagements, anniversaries, graduations and family gatherings all use the same planning, from a single Rolls-Royce to coaches for the extended family.
Corporate & ADNEC
Can a driver wait at ADGM between meetings?
Yes. With hourly hire, your chauffeur waits near your building on Al Maryah Island and returns to the entrance at the time you agree, ready for the next meeting. See car with driver.
Do you provide staff transport for project teams?
Yes. We quote regular transport for project teams at Masdar City, KIZAD, Khalifa Port and Ruwais as a schedule, with one monthly invoice. Vehicles range from vans to 50-seat coaches.
Can we receive one invoice for several events in a month?
Yes. Corporate accounts receive a single monthly invoice covering all bookings, broken down by event, cost centre or traveller if required.
Can you move a team between Abu Dhabi and Dubai regularly?
Yes. For companies with offices in both cities, we quote recurring transfers — daily, weekly or for specific project phases — with the tolls included and the same chauffeurs wherever possible.
Can name boards show our company or event name?
Yes. Tell us the wording you would like and your chauffeur will use it on the name board at the airport or hotel — useful for conference speakers and group arrivals.
What do you need for an ADNEC shuttle quote?
The show dates and hours, your hotel list with approximate headcounts at each, and any VIP or speaker movements. From that we propose a timetable, the vehicle mix and a fixed quote. See ADNEC exhibition shuttles.
Tours & the Grand Mosque
How long is a half-day tour?
Around five hours, which covers the Grand Mosque and one or two other stops such as Qasr Al Watan or the Corniche. A full day is around ten hours.
Does the chauffeur come inside the attractions?
No. Your chauffeur drops you at each entrance, waits with the vehicle and collects you when you are ready. If you would like a licensed guide to accompany you inside, mention it when booking.
Can we take a tour during a stopover between flights?
Yes, if your connection is long enough and you are allowed to enter the UAE on your passport. We collect you from Terminal A arrivals and plan the route to return you in good time for your next flight.
Are evening tours possible?
Yes. An evening loop — the Grand Mosque lit after sunset, the Corniche, then dinner on Saadiyat or at Yas Bay — is a calm way to see the city in the cooler hours.
Can we visit the Grand Mosque at sunset?
Yes, subject to slot availability on the official booking site. The hour before sunset is the most popular time, so book your slot early and add it to your booking notes; we plan the pick-up to suit. Read our Grand Mosque guide.
Is a full-day tour comfortable for children and grandparents?
Yes, with the right pacing. Choose a V-Class or Sprinter for easy boarding, build in a long lunch and keep the walking stops short in the warmer months. Your chauffeur can adjust the order on the day.
Intercity: Dubai, Al Ain & the Western Region
Can you collect us in Al Ain and drive us to Abu Dhabi?
Yes. We collect from homes, hotels and offices in Al Ain and drive to any address in Abu Dhabi or to Zayed International, around an hour and a half away. See Abu Dhabi to Al Ain.
Do you stop for prayer or refreshments on long drives?
Of course. On drives to Dubai, Al Ain, Ruwais or Liwa, your chauffeur stops at service stations for prayer, coffee or a stretch whenever you wish.
Do you cover Madinat Zayed, Mirfa and other Al Dhafra towns?
Yes. We drive across the Al Dhafra region, including Madinat Zayed, Mirfa, Ruwais, Al Dhannah and Liwa, for business, family visits and resort stays.
Are intercity transfers available on public holidays?
Yes. We drive on public holidays and over Eid; book early, because demand for intercity travel rises around long weekends.
How many stops can we add to an intercity transfer?
As many as you need. Each is listed on your quote so the price reflects the extra time — for example, a stop at the Grand Mosque on the way out of Abu Dhabi, or a second drop-off in Dubai.
Can we combine Al Ain and Liwa in one trip?
Yes, as a multi-day itinerary. The two are far apart, so we usually plan a night in each and quote the journeys between them as separate transfers.
Changes & cancellations
Can I change the pick-up time on the day?
Email us as soon as you can. We always try to accommodate a change; if it affects the hours or the vehicle, we confirm any difference in price before it applies.
What if my plans change within 24 hours of pick-up?
Changes are free up to 24 hours before pick-up. Within that window we still do our best to help, and the change and cancellation terms written on your quote apply.
Can I add a passenger or a bag after confirming?
Yes. Tell us and we check the vehicle still fits. If a larger vehicle is needed, we confirm the new price in writing before changing anything.
Do I need to reconfirm my booking before travel?
No. Once you reply to confirm your quote, the booking stands. If you have not heard from us when you expect to, check your spam folder or email us.
Can we remove one vehicle from a multi-vehicle booking?
Yes. Each vehicle on your quote is listed separately, so the booking can be reduced. Changes are free up to 24 hours before pick-up; after that, the terms written on your quote apply.
